Sydney Frantz

SydneySydney found her passion for dance when she started dancing at Barbara's Conservatory of Dance at the age of four. She has been dancing at Barbara's over fourteen years now, and couldn't imagine dancing anywhere else. The studio is like her second home, and all of the friends she's made are her second family!

Sydney's first experience assisting was with Nutcracker rehearsals at the age of thirteen. She enjoyed assisting and helping others so much that she decided she wanted to do it throughout the semester. She has had the privilege of watching and learning from the teachers she has assisted over the years. She now aspires to pass on what she has learned and her love for dance to those with the same dreams she has!

Sydney has training in ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, pointe, pas de deux, liturgical, and Broadway jazz. Along with dancing at Barbara's, Sydney has also attended a variety of summer intensives including three summers at Ballet Magnificat where she placed level ten, the highest level for the two week intensive. Additionally, she attended Ballet Hartford's intensive in Hartford, Connecticut where she had the opportunity to take class from professional dancers with New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Sydney has performed in the Nutcracker Ballet for thirteen years, the annual Spring Ballet's for seven years, liturgical concerts for nine years, and spring recitals for fourteen years.

In 2017, Sydney was awarded the TPAC Young Artist of the Year award in the category of dance and was awarded a scholarship to help pursue her dreams. Sydney is attending Washburn University pursuing a major in mass media with a minor in psychology. While attending college she plans to continue dancing at the studio and teaching aspiring young dancers!
